The first in the long line

Welcome to Horwoods DevOps blog

Hello and welcome to my DevOps Blog, this will be my ramblings on how I DevOps. This isnt how you should DevOps, but if you want to follow me thats fine.

You should know off the bat that everything I know is all self taught, I may get things wring and will most likely look a fool. But thats how I roll.

Me, who are you?

So Im a DevOps Engineer at Mayden, they provide software to support the NHS mental health program IAPT. I currently support everything IT, thats everything from printers to full on data centre outages. Thats a lot of kit to cover, but it makes the day interesting.

At home I have a young family to look after, then my home lab in the shed. as of now I currently have 9 pis running, they run things like OSMC for TV to PHP and docker. This is my main hobby, I have a plan to update the server pi farm to pi 4s in the next year and that should improve the speed of the things I run.

At home I have a young family to look after, then my homelab. AS of now, I have 4 Pis running, an OVH dedi and PV.

Whats next?

Well, we are looking to move from our current very small house. but are stuck as the sellers are still to find a new house. Then I will loos my shed and have to make a new Horwood control.
